FIRST DAY ON WIX

well the first day was good so far…i created my header title and my navigation bar.

WRITING FOR EACH OF THE 4 THEORIES

[[DIFFERENTIAL ASSOCIATION THEORY]]

1.) WHAT IS IT?The idea that a person’s environment effects how they act a bad environment will lead to bad behavior.

2.) WHAT IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW THE THEORY LEADS TO PEOPLE BEING DEVIANT?If you live in an area where many people are deviant and do bad things, you might start to think that it is normal to be deviant.

3.)DO YOU THINK THIS THEORY IS TRUE?WHY OR WHY NOT?Well my opinion is yes and no because in my neighborhood theres alot of people that do bad things but that dosent mean we have to do it to just because they are doing it.They either slang bang taggers thieves and they all live in my block and we dont do that.And we all know that all those things are bad things.Ive been living there for 6 years already and everything is still the same probably it even got worser.And also it can be a yes because i have friends that where little like me and we kind of grew up together but we went our seperate ways.He ended up being in juvii for robbing ditching n taggin more than 9 tickets and he still in juvi.He decided to do what others where doing.

[[STRAIN THEORY]]

1.)WHAT IS IT?The idea that if a person is not successful following the rules he or she will start breaking the rules and being deviant as a way of being successful.

2.)WHAT IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW THE THEORY LEADS TO PEOPLE BEING DEVIANT?An example is being Innovators-will find a way to be successful even if they must break the law.Also Ritualist are not against the rules but do not care if they are successful or not.

3.)DO YOU THINK THIS THEORY IS TRUE?WHY OR WHY NOT?Well i choosed both because it could be true because they are some people that know the rules or the laws but they still dont respect them.Like when  you go in stores and it says no shoplifting and theres people that know what that mean and they still do it they dont go by the rules.And also there are people that do go by the rules and respect but those people are hard to find.

[[BROKEN WINDOW THEORY]]

1.)WHAT IS IT?The idea that crime will happen in places in the community that are not taken care of.

2.)WHAT IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW THE THEORY LEADS TO PEOPLE BEIND DEVIANT?For example during our community walk we looked at the corner of 108th and avalon, on one side the apartments are nice and clean and there is no graffiti of crime.The other side is full of graffiti and trash because its not taken care of.

3.)DO YOU THINK THIS THEORY IS TRUE?WHY OR WHY NOT?Yeah i think it is and is not one reason it is its because there are certian places where its clean and where its dirty.There are some blocks or house that its clean its a clean neighborhood.In the other hand there are some dirty house or streets you pass thru.It also depends how the people are if they are dirty then thier street might be dirty because they dont care about it and probably there house too.And if the person is clean then their street stays clean…it all depends on you..theres some people that be waking up early in the moring to sweep their sidewalk…to keep clean.

1.)WHAT IS IT?The idea that a person will believe what they are told about themselves.

2.)WHAT IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW THE THEORY LEADS TO PEOPLE BEING DEVIANT?For example if a person is labeled bad and told that they are bad they will start to believe that they are really bad.

3.)DO YOU THINK THIS THEORY IS TRUE?WHY OR WHY NOT?Yes because if someone was told that they is bad and they anit even all that bad they might end up doing real bad things that they probably havent even done before.But they get use to it of people calling them bad or asking them why they bad?and they get tired of that too.And also their are other people that they dont care what people got to say about them and im one of them.Ive heard people that told me before you bad and all that they dont know me there just jugeding but i dont take it in a wrong way…because those people just critize you…i just let them say what they think but thier comments are nither require nor desire…
